What is my responsibility if I purchase on AuctionsPlus
Once you have successfully purchased on the platform, you need to ensure you are aware of your responsibilities.
Delivery & Transport
All livestock and machinery must be collected within the delivery window specified in the assessment or listing.
You are responsible for organising transport and pick up from the nominated Delivery Point – typically the vendor’s property – to your destination. If you require transit insurance (particularly on livestock) you must arrange this yourself. The Livestock are your responsibility once they step foot onto the truck upon delivery.
NLIS Transfers
For livestock, you need to ensure that you transfer the NLIS tags of the stock to your PIC within the time frame specified under your state regulations. If you are unsure on how to do so, contact your local livestock agent. For more information on how to complete NLIS transfers, please follow the link here.
Selling Agents may have nominated to be able to complete the NLIS transfer on behalf of the purchaser – however, please take note that there may be a cost associated with the transfer as applied by the agent. Please ensure you read the assessment for these details.
Payment & Invoicing
Payment is made directly to the selling agent listed. Buyers must comply with the selling agent’s trading terms outlined in the assessment. AuctionsPlus is not a party to the Contract of Sale, therefore we do not take your direct payment. Payment is made to the listed selling agent. You must abide by the trading terms set by the selling agent, as specified in the assessment.
Please note, that all bid prices on livestock are exclusive of GST. For machinery lots, GST is listed individually on each lot, along with buyer’s premium if the agent has opted for this charge.
While AuctionsPlus does not require you to use an agent to finalise your purchase, some selling agents do. In these cases, you may be required to settle through an agent or provide full cash payment before stock can be loaded for delivery; or in the case of machinery, before it can be picked up. If you choose to settle through an agent, it is essential that you notify the selling agent of your intentions.
For interfaced sequential sales, you may see a ‘Submit your details’ option. This allows you to complete a Buyer’s Details Form, which is then provided to the selling agent to help streamline the post-sale process.
