Notable Traits

AuctionsPlus are updating our User Agreement and Sale Terms.

The information outlined in this article is effective as of the 1st March, 2023.

From March 1, AuctionsPlus will introduce a new area to the Assessment called  "Notable traits".

This field should be used to identify any faults or not true to type traits for the breed, class or age of the stock.

  • There is a nil tolerance for a fault that is not disclosed on the Assessment, and found to be present.
  • A tolerance of 5% on the number of head affected applies to any faults that are declared.

This update allows this information to be included in a dedicated area on the assessment, rather than in Assessor comments (as seen previously) and will increase consistency across all lots for sale.

Examples of notable traits, includes, but is not limited to:

  • Long toes
  • Cracked hooves
  • Blue or white eyes
  • Pink eye scarring
  • Warts
  • Busted udders
  • Tails on adult sheep
  • Vaccine lumps

Notable Traits will be entered on the assessment as:
