AuctionsPlus are updating our User Agreement and Sale Terms.
The information outlined in this article is effective as of the 1st March, 2023.
AuctionsPlus are introducing new requirements, protections and tolerances on lots which are assessed as PTIC (Pregnancy Tested in Calf) or SIL (Scanned in Lamb).
To read more about the requirements to list PTIC & SIL livestock, please click here.
From March 1, a claim may be raised if stock are assessed as 100% PTIC or SIL, and the number of females found not to be pregnant (within the defined process below) exceeds the AuctionsPlus pregnancy tolerance of:
- Sheep & Goats = 10%
- Cattle = 5%
To raise a valid pregnancy dispute under the AuctionsPlus User Agreement and Sale Terms:
- The buyer must report their intention to pregnancy scan or test the livestock within 48 hours of the livestock arriving to their property.
- The buyer will then have 14 days to have the stock pregnancy tested or scanned, and must provide a supporting certificate to indicate that the number of females which are no longer pregnant has exceeded the AuctionsPlus Tolerance.
- The buyer must follow any Vendor Terms for pregnancy which are included on the assessment
- If the tolerance is not exceeded, the claim is not valid.
- The claim needs to be submitted to AuctionsPlus here
A valid claim will then be resolved under the AuctionsPlus User Agreement and Sale Terms.
