There are two different types of auction formats - Sequential and Simultaneous.
AuctionsPlus offer two different types of auction formats:
- Simultaneous (SIM) - All lots in the auction are offered for sale at the same time. Sales that follow this format include: our regular weekly commercial livestock sales, many of our machinery sales and charity auctions.
- Sequential Sale (SEQ) - Lots in the auction are offered for sale sequentially i.e. one at one time. Sales that follow this format include: majority of stud sales and some machinery auctions.
Either a sequential or simultaneous sale may also be an interfaced auction, which means its comprises a physical sale with the addition of online bidding functionality, and may include stud or commercial livestock, or other commodities. An interfaced sale may include Audio or Video streaming.
The format a sale is being conducted in is available on our Home or Auctions pages; which is shortened to SIM or SEQ.
Once you access a specific catalogue, the format of the auction is listed underneath the auction heading.
