How long machinery auctions run for and how the timer works.
Special sales, such as machinery clearing sales, close according to instructions provided by the selling agent(s). Machinery auctions commonly remain open for several days, depending on the needs and preferences of the selling agents, with a timer scheduled to begin at a specific day and time to manage the final closing process. It is important to note that once the timer is activated, bidding activity determines when the auction will close; the displayed timer start time does not indicate the conclusion of the auction.
How do I find out when the timer will be turned on?

Who do I contact for more information on when an auction will finish?
We recommend contacting the Selling Agent for any questions on the amount of time that a nominated Special Sale will be open for.
What happens once the timer turns on?
Simultaneous (SIM) auctions conclude using a timer system that becomes visible at the top of the auction at the time set by the selling agent or as otherwise determined by AuctionsPlus. The timer counts down in predetermined increments—such as starting at 60 seconds and shortening in 10-second intervals until it reaches a 20-second countdown. All lots in a SIM auction close together, and every time a bid is placed on any lot across the entire auction, the timer restarts at the current increment and begins counting down again. Winning bids display in green and only change to red when outbid, while the timer shows the remaining time available to place a counter-bid.
