How can I confirm the Ruminati Climate Assessed accreditation in Assessment Entry?

Learn how to incorporate the Ruminati Climat Assessed status in your livestock lot assessment

The RUMINATI Climate Assessed program provides an emissions calculator for Australian farming operations. Measuring and recording on-farm emissions is increasingly critical for producers in order to comply with industry and government regulations, access additional revenue by engaging with emerging environmental markets, and meet consumer demands for supply chain transparency.

By better understanding of a farmining operation’s environmental impact, the producer can also identify areas of improvement and adopt more sustainable agricultural practices that help to optimise production systems, preserve natural resources, and contribute to the sustainability of your agricultural enterprise.

AuctionsPlus is collaborating with RUMINATI in supporting the program by offering the capability to connect ‘assessed’ producers with sellers actively seeking such livestock. From within Assessment Entry an assessor may submit a vendor’s Property Identification Code (PIC) for automated instant reference of the RUMINATI user database. PICs that have been Climate Assessed under RUMINATI ’s program will then have their assessments carry an identifying logo/mark that supports buyers targetting suitablly accredited livestock

Confirming Ruminati Climate Assessed accreditation

The Ruminati Climate Assessed accreditation is attached to the property’s PIC number. When the Assessor enters the PIC into the Assessment, they will be prompted to validate:

 Ruminanti - AE #1

This will action both the NLIS verification and seek to confirm whether the PIC is presently registered with Ruminati as having been ‘Climate Assessed’. A successful confirmation will appear like this:

Ruminanti - AE #2

If this does not meet the vendor or assessors expectation, this should be raised with Ruminati directly.

In addition the confirmation will also be automatically reflected in the Accreditation section of the Assessment with the option that the assessor may ‘uncheck’ the accreditation at their discretion.
