AuctionsPlus are updating our User Agreement and Sale Terms.
The information outlined in this article is effective as of the 1st March, 2023.
AuctionsPlus recognise that there has been instances where incorrect information has been provided on assessments. Whilst there can be elements outside of people's control, this is not always the case - and in many of these scenarios the buyer has had minimal recourse. We also understand the animal health & welfare implications which can occur for producers when stock are not expected, or managed to be pregnant.
By putting parameters and protections in place, the accountability for providing true, accurate and correct information is further increased.
Not-Station Mated
If a lot is assessed as NSM and has had no access to bulls, rams or stags and more than 5% of the mob are found to be pregnant, a claim may be made.
The claim must be reported within 48 hours of arrival (with the intention to pregnancy scan), and you will have 28 days to provide a scanning certificate to support your claim.
Joining Windows
If more than 5% of the mob are born at least 2 weeks outside the expected lambing or calving windows, a claim may be made.
The timeframe in which AuctionsPlus or the selling agent must be notified of an issue is determined by the joining dates.
- If progeny are born prior to the expected timeframe buyers have 7 days from the birth.
- If progeny are born after the expected timeframe, buyers have 7 days from the end of that expected window.
A valid claim will then be resolved under the AuctionsPlus User Agreement and Sale Terms.
