Enormous numbers of cattle are being offered from within the tick line and attracting the interest of buyers in NSW, many of whom are unfamiliar with the terminology, requirements and responsibilities of buying cattle out of tick areas and what it entails.
While it is the responsibility of the purchaser to make all necessary inquiries and satisfy all state compliance's with regards to movement, Assessors must be clear and objective in their commentary and assume the buyer isn't familiar with tick exposed stock.
As per our current Terms & Conditions, cattle can only be delivered at the location at which they clear the dip. Therefore, if cattle cannot be cleared on farm (I.e. the dip on farm is not registered) then the delivery location cannot be on farm. Cattle will need to travel to a registered dip for clearance and this must be the nominated delivery point on the assessment.

If delivering clear, remember it is the Vendor's responsibility to pay for dipping and any feeding costs associated with holding cattle at the clearing facility, unless otherwise stated in the assessment.
