How to effectively set bid increments

A key feature of the AuctionsPlus platform is the ability for agents to set their start, reserves and bid increments for listings.

Recent bid increment changes for commercial sheep and cattle listings have added increased flexibility and control for agents.

How do I change the bid increment?

When entering start and reserves for your listings, there will also be a pre-set bid increment – relative to the stock category that is being listed. Clicking on the drop-down arrow provides a list of bid increment options. Taking the time to amend the bid increment prior to the sale can help to reduce sale running times as stock reserved at a higher value is given the appropriate bid increment.

Example 1: SIL ewes are pre-set to $2/head – clicking on the drop down provides the option to choose $1, $2, $5, $10, $20, $50 or $100 bids. Providng agents the option to select a bigger increment for lots reserved at a higher value. See below where to find this option when entering prices via your dashboard.

Example 2: Weaners are pre-set to $10 - the drop down provides $5, $10, $20, $25, $50, $200, $250 and $500 bid options. See below where to find this option when entering prices via assessment entry.
