How does the Auction timer work
The Timer countdowns the remaining time the auction will remain open. It resets when a bid is submitted
- Simultaneous (SIM) auctions conclude via a timer system.
- The timer will become visible at the top of the auction at the time designated by the Selling Agent or as otherwise determined by AuctionsPlus.
- Timer value decreases incrementally in a countdown predetermined by the Selling Agent(s) or AuctionsPlus, for example the timer may begin at a 60s countdown and decrease in 10 second increments until the timer is running a 20s countdown.
- All lots in a SIM auction close together - Every time a bid is placed, on any lot in the entire auction, the timer will restart to the current timer increment and begin to count down again.
- Winning bids remain green and only turn red once outbid. The Timer displays the time left to counter bid
