Give buyers the opportunity to purchase machinery now prior to auction.
You can now also add a ‘Buy Now’ option to the listing as well. This will give the opportunity for someone to purchase the lot for your nominated price pre-sale. If the lot sells before auction, it will be listed as ‘sold’ when the auction starts. If the lot is not purchased before the auction begins, it will sell as normal in the auction.
Note that Buy Now prices are different to starts and reserves, which also need to be entered if the lot does not sell prior to the sale.
All items sold through ‘buy now’ will be charged at the rate of the sale in which they entered in. Prices can be found here – under the Machinery/Clearing/Fodder Sales heading ‘AuctionsPlus Fortnightly Machinery Sale’.
To enter a ‘Buy now’ on a lot that has already been listed, it must first be unpublished. Once unpublished, going to the pricing tab and make the ‘Buy Now’ option checked.
Once this is checked, you can click ‘change’ and fill in the buy now price as well as the buy now terms and conditions.
If you read and agree to the terms and conditions you can then click the ‘Edit Listing’ button and the buy now will be applied. Once published, the buy now will be live in the catalogue and people will have the option to purchase the lot at your specified price.
BEFORE YOU PUBLISH MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE PRICE OF THE BUY NOW, AS THE PURCHASE WILL BE A BINDING CONTRACT OF SALE AT THE PRICE LISTED.
The listing will be viewable in the catalogue and buyers will be able to purchase the lot.
