What do I do if there is a conflict of interest on a Lot I am selling?

Financial Interest for an Agent and bidding on your own lots as a Vendor.

Declaring a Conflict of Interest as an Assessor

Can I assess stock that I own or have an interest in?

The short answer is Yes - as an Assessor or Delivery Agent, you can assess and list stock that you for example, own personally.

However, as per our terms any & all financial or conflict interest must be declared on the Assessment for all users to see.

This can be declared through Assessment Entry, as shown below.

Can I bid on my own stock?

Vendors:

No – you cannot bid on your own stock. A vendor bidding on their own stock is in breach of our User Agreement.

Bidding is monitored by the AuctionsPlus system and a breach will result in suspension or termination from participating in the system if a vendor places a bid on their own livestock.

Agents:

Yes, as an agent you can bid on your own stock as long as you are bidding for a client. AuctionsPlus system monitors agent placed bids and if you are suspected of fraudulent bidding or 'bidding up your lot' we can request additional information to prove you were bidding for a client.
